Best and favourites of 2014 on Almost Bananas

2014 saw the beginning of this little space and it’s been a huge learning experience. I hope the blog continues to improve. I really enjoy writing and photographing here, and only keep going because you read it. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit Almost Bananas through the year. McKirdy Mt. B) Hermit Thrust Cabin, Canada: my favourite place in the world.

Fermented Red Onions C) Fermented Red Onions: it’s hard to pick a favourite ferment, but I was very impressed with how versatile these were.

Skanzen D) Museum of Slovak Villages: I love all things handmade and folklore, and this is a little sample of Slovak traditional culture.

E) All Saint’s and All Soul’s Days, Nov. 1 & 2: a beautiful, mystical, peaceful tradition of honouring the dead.

Quick Japanese Soup F) Quick Japanese Soup: nourishing comfort food and memories.
